Brukel is the first solo indie project by Belgian game designer and professor Bob De Schutter. It is narrated by his 92-year old grandmother Bie, and it tells the story behind the traumatic events she lived through as a teenage girl on the Belgian frontline during World War 2.

While the game relies on common walking simulator and horror game tropes to immerse its players in the world of young Bie, the combination of these mechanics with non-fiction oral history turns the game into an entirely different experience.

The game has received an incredible reception. Taking the number one spot as the most popular game and best seller on itch.io during it’s release period. The game was made by Adam Pype, a student at DAE with sound design by german-based composer & sound designer Viktor Kraus.

Fully bootstrapped the company has grown to a team of 17 people building content for both enterprise and entertainment. With a turnover of € 1 million for 2019, Triangle Factory has shown a strong YoY growth of +50% during the last 3 years.

The mobile division of Triangle Factory has developed numerous successful titles with over 1,5 million players. Including AR Sports Basketball, Trivia Switch, and De Slimste Mens ter Wereld. Triangle Factory has also been focusing on the VR LBE market, launching 4 games for the 2 biggest VR arcades in Belgium.

In 2019, Swen Vincke accepted the award for Belgian Game of the Year with Divinity: Original Sin 2. In 2020, he was honoured with a prize for having a strong impact on the Belgian and international gaming industry. As founder of Larian Studios in 1996, Swen Vincke has been putting Belgium on the map for almost 30 years as a game development country, and with Divinity: Original Sin 2 (and now Baldur’s Gate 3) Larian Studios managed to win the hearts of millions of gamers worldwide.
